Photo Dataset Usage Terms

These Terms govern the use of face photos and analysis data uploaded by Members for AI model performance improvement and research purposes. Explicit consent is required at sign-up.

• Uploaded photos may be used as training datasets to improve AI performance.
• All personal identifiers are removed (anonymized) before use.
• You may withdraw consent at any time.
1. Purpose
- Improve accuracy of AI pore/skin analysis models
- Develop new analysis metrics (e.g., zone-level, texture analysis)
- Statistical analysis of skin change patterns
- Correct model bias across race, age, gender for fairness
2. Data Used

3. Anonymization
- Metadata removal: EXIF data (location, device, timestamp) fully deleted
- Identifier separation: User ID, email, name, phone removed; replaced with single-use anonymous IDs
- Hash conversion: Filenames converted to SHA-256 hashes
- Access control: Only authorized ML engineers; access logs retained 90 days
4. Retention
- Anonymized datasets retained for up to 5 years.
- Upon withdrawal of consent or membership, original photos mapped to personal info are deleted immediately.
- Already-anonymized data used in training cannot be technically reversed but will be excluded from future training.
5. No Third-Party Sales
The Company does not sell or transfer datasets to external entities, even if anonymized. Exceptions: non-profit research institutions with IRB approval (with separate Member notice), or legally mandated requests.
6. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent at any time via:
- My Page → Settings → "Withdraw AI training data consent"
- Email: [email protected] (processed within 7 days)
Withdrawal does not affect service use; future uploads will not be used for training.
7. Member Rights
- Request to view which models your anonymized data was used in
- Request complete deletion from training datasets (within technical limits)
- Claim damages for harm caused by model outputs
8. Security
- Datasets stored encrypted in private Cloudflare R2 buckets
- 2FA and IP whitelist for access
- Quarterly external security audits
9. Amendments
Material changes are announced 30 days in advance. Members may re-consent or withdraw.
